Acrylic on glass
Commissioned by The Washington Area Darts Association
Painted by brush and then shattered by hammer. This wall fixture provides illumination and visual excitement in any room. The piece was created with the motivation to encapsulate and perpetuate the surge of energy that players receive when they’re hitting their mark.

Using 1-Shot Lettering Enamel, the image is painted on both back and front of 1/8” framing glass to provide discernible depth. All other areas remain clear to enhance the image with inward facing LEDs; operable by a manual switch on the affixed rechargeable battery. As evident by the focus of the piece, the dart in the center is permanently affixed. Customize the shaft and flight to your preference.
The overall dimensions (20” x 30”) or (50.8cm x 76.2cm)
The frame is brushed metal and is suspended by wire from frame mounted hangers. It rests on 4 rubber contact points as to not damage your paint, providing space for ambient lighting and making it easy to reach the switch on the power supply.
